Hand in Hand,
How can we ever thank you enough for supporting us in our adoption journey? Just when we accepted the profile of our beautiful little boy, we received a grant from hand in Hand. It could not have come at a better time. We had a large check due to the agency and your grant not only greatly supported us, but it also helped bring relief and less stress to the entire process so that we could focus on getting ready for our son instead of raising money. The matching grant that you supported us with was exatly the amount that we needed to send to our agency. We feel so greatly blessed to have had your support.
Again, thanks for supporting us.

Thank you so much and we hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Thank you for the update every Friday and for everything you have done on our behalf! And a huge thank you to Hand in Hand as a whole. We can't even begin to express our gratitude for this grant, it has been a blessing beyond what we could have ever imagined! You have played such a big role in our journey to bring our 2 little ones home and while we start to feel forever eendebted to you, we realize that it is God telling us to pay it forward and bless others in the same way that we have been blessed. While He is working out His plan to bring our children home, He is also using this moment to change our hearts and lives, we know that we will never be the same.
May you all at Hand in Hand be blessed in unexpected and undeniable ways throught the next year.
Thanks again,
Aaron & Crystal

We can't thank you enough for the generous grant you awarded us to help bring our little girl home. My husband kept saying that God would provide to bring her home. We believe you were used in that process! Thank you for being such a blessing to our family.

My family and I want to extend our sincere appreciation for your matching grant. We worked to raise money through fundraisers, yard sales, letters to family and friends and so on. We have two beautiful little girls, but we have always known that God calls us to do so much more. He called us to adopt. He has a wonderful child out there for us waiting for us as we have anxiously been awaiting him/her to join our family. I hate to say that we were ignorant and blind to the need for Christian families to adopt both in our country and in our world. This jorney has opened our eyes and our hearts. We were so nervous to send out the matching grant letters after we had started our financial efforts with that route originally months ago. However, we figured it couldn't hurt and never doubted what God can do. We had only one donation come in after sending out dozens of letters. We don't know if it was sheer coincidence or if it was done on purpose by the donor but it was the exact amount to fulfill the entire matching grant. We were blown away with such an amount by one individual especially during these economic times. However, the donor has seen our passion and efforts and they too have seen the broader vision for God's calling in James 1:27! Thanks to your generosity, we are that much closer to growing our family and God's plan for us! We have just been matched with a sweet birthmom in the last week. She has lost three children to the state due to depravation and has selflessly chosen adoption rather than abortion or an unknown future where she can't provide for the child.
We are sending our sincere appreicaiton for your support.

A simple "thank you" card seems entirely inadequate to express our appreciation for the matching grant that you recently offered us! Your organization is a means of the Lord's grace in our lives and we will always remember and appreciate your generosity and your desire to see parentless children raised in Christian homes. We hope to bless families in the same way in the future. We are currently #4 on our adoption agency's referral list, but we look forward to sending you pictures of the little one(s) that you helped bring home! Thank you so much.

Dear Hand in Hand,
Words cannot express how grateful we are for the support that you gave us during our adoption of Matthias. We were matched with his birth family just weeks before his anticipated due date and had to fund raise very quickly. We are so grateful that you were able to process our grant application so quickly.
Within just weeks we were able to reach our goal and you graciously matched our efforts dollar for dollar.
Mattie has Down Syndorme and has battled numerous health issues since his birth, including having two open heart surgeries and a tracheotomy. He spent the first 11 months of his life in the PICU at a nearby hospital and we are happy to announce that he was able to come home just 2 weeks ago.
We are so grateful for the work that you do to eleviate some of the financial strain for adoptive families!

Dear Ms. George & Hand in Hand Board,
Thank you so very much for awarding our family a grant from Hand in Hand. We cannot fully express our gratitude for your generosity. Through this ministry you are doubling the talents God entrusts to his people and by doing so you're expanding the household of Christ. We look forward to welcoming the newest member of that household into our family.

Dear Board of Hand in Hand,
I do not think there are words enough to express our gratitude. We are so humbled by the Lord's goodness to us through you. To think that His people - people we may never meet this side of heaven - helped us to bring our precious son home. Our adoption was uncharacteristically fast and we so appreciate your quick attention to our application. Elijah is the most delightful, beautiful boy & we are so blessed to be his parents.
Thank you again for everything,
For His glory

Thank you so much! Words cannot express our gratitude for this grant and your partnering with us, as well as the other families that you help. Because of this grant, our entire adoption program fee for China will be covered and we haven't even received the bill yet! We are in awe at how God provided for us in this. This was the one financial step in our adoption ($11,360) that we knew God would have to move in a big way, or we couldn't go forward. We were matched with our little girl the day before our grant deadline! It is a wonderful thing to know this next bill is already taken care of! Thank you and God bless your work to help bring children home to their forever families!
Love in Jesus!

We just want to follow up and let you know how Iris is adapting to our family. Dale suggested we send you an update and photo of our beautiful little girl.
We were able to adopt Iris in June 2010 with help from Hand in Hand. Iris was born with cataracts in both eyes and had little if any vision when she came home. She has had surgery on both eyes and is doing much better. Her vision has imporved although she is still legally blind. She has amazed and blessed us all.
Iris attends Children's Center for the Visually Impaired a few days each week and aslo receives therapy from our school district. She has accomplished so much in such a short amount of time.
She is absolutely a gift from God! We hope you and the entire Hand in Hand organization understand the magnitude of what you are doing for the children. We certainly undestand that and are so grateful.
Best Regards,
Joel & Melissa

Hand in Hand has been such a blessing to us. When I posted on our blog and sent our our yearly Christmas card with information about our Hand in Hand Matching Grant I didn't know how it would be possible to raise the $2,500 to match your grant. It's a good thing that it is God working on people's hearts and not me trying to manipulate things. I'll be honest, in my unbelief I asked you to extend the deadline out by 2 weeks to give people more time. As it was, God had provided the matching funds by the end of December. God ended up supplying far above what we could have asked for or imagined. Here is an excerpt rorm our blog posted on December 11, 2010.
"Emmy and I had been praying for several weeks, if not more, for encouragement regarding our adoption journey and specifically for encouragement about financing this adoption. So on Wed, December 8 while I was at our weekly growth group/Bible study, I asked for prayer regarding the upcoming decision about our grant application. A friend prayed that "the funds would be released.: Indeed the very next day we received the exciting news that we had received a $2,500 matching grant from Hand in Hand."
Perhaps we will not know on earth the full extenet of the impact you have had for the kingdom of God. We know that you have been loving and serving "the least of these" and by so doing you have been loving and serving Christ. I believe your reward will be very great.

I want to say thank you for the grant your organization supplied for our adoption. It is such a huge undertaking and taking just some of the financial burden away really helps a lot. It restores one's faith in the human race, reminding me there are so many good Christian people left in the world. Again, thank you and know you have made a difference in our lives.

In February 2010, we got an e-mail from an agency asking if there was a family that could step forward to adopt a 13 year old girl that was soon aging out of the system in China. When a child turns 14 in China, they are no longer available for adoption. Our hearts were broken as we learned that these kids would probably be out on their own, with not much chance for a future. We prayed God would open the doors He wanted and slam shut the ones He wanted to. After having the door closed twice, we kept going back to a 13 year old that we had talked and prayed about earlier. She had a heart condition that we thought could be severe and we knew our insurance company would not allow her to be added. I finally emailed a friend of ours who is a doctor. After reveiwing her file he concluded that he thought she just had a heart murumur. We immediately saw God open a door we thought was closed and began the paperwork to bring our daughter home. During that time we saw God open doors only He could open. We saw Him provide in amazing ways. We began Hannah's adoption on faith. God had clearly led us to that point and we trusted that He would continue to provide and He did.
We have been home 6 weeks now. Hannah is adjusting beautifully. She has longed for her own family for many years and is soaking up the love she is getting. Thank you Hand in Hand for the vital part you played in bringing Hannah home. We knew we did not have the finances to adopt again, but we also clearly felt God leading us on this journey. Your financial help for our family gave us the encouragement and resources we needed as we prepared to travel to China. It is a joy to be able to thank you now and continue praying for your ministry.

Dear Hand in Hand Christian Adoption,
I wanted to send you an updated picture of our family. Our new family, that you helped build. Yong, Qi Bi, now known as Zeke is doing amazing. Sadly, I do not feel his life before our family was a very good one, but that is in the past and we are moving forward, loving him and seeing new pieces of his personality every day. He went outside the other day when we were having a very cold spell. He breathed and smoke came out of his mouth. He then got excited and said "oh!!!" making more smoke and causing more excitement. This back and forth "oh!", then smoke coming out of his mouth, caused my husband and other children to laugh so hard. It is a memery I will never forget. A memory you would not experience with a child that came home younger or born to you as they would have experienced this since birth. Zeke, we believe was never out of the orphanage until the day he came to me. This little boy is a joy and a ball of energy. His gu-gus (older brothers) just love him to pieces. His sister who is a little younger is learning to share with him and play together with him. We are so grateful for the grant you gave our family to help Zeke come home. We will be forever grateful to you for helping us out. It was an amount that helped us tremendously. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We are praising Gode for this AMAZING provision. He is just so good. We received referrals for our babies this week!! God's timing is so perfect. To see His faithfulness in providing the Hand in Hand grant EXACTLY the same time our referral fees are due just causes us to break out in praise. He is so amazing. How perfectly He orchestrates things for His children. We are so eternally grateful for this gift.

Dear Ms. George and Hand in Hand Adoption, Inc.,
My husband and I just want to say thank you for the assistance that you have provided in the way of a grant for our son and daughter-in-law's adoption. They just received the news of the full amount of the grant being achieved during August and they are so excited. Nathan and Jennifer called us a couple of nights ago and they were overwhelmed by God's goodness and provision for them. You have been a very big part of this provision and we want to thank you.
We can hardly wait to see and hold our new grandbaby. Thank you for being a part of this exciting time for our family. We pray God's continued blessings on your work at Hand in Hand.

To the Hand in Hand Board:
In the summer of 2008, we had a plan. Our plan was to save for IVF, go through the treatments and if IVF didn't work we would one day consider adoption. In October of 2009 we, almost reluctantly, met with a pregnant young lady. By the end of November, we knew God had changed our plans, that an adoption was much sooner than we'd originally thought.
A major concern we had however, was the financial aspect of adoption. How could we adopt this baby without draining the savings we'd acquired to help us take care of a child? We had to come to the point of deciding we'd obediently pursue the adoption and trust that God would meet our needs. I remember praying one evening, "we're running toward the cliff and preparing to jump, so you'd better either stop us or catch us".
Your gift of an adoption grant is one of the ways God has "caught" us. Thank you for your generous gift. Thank you for helping us fulfill our dream of parenthood.
The last 3 years have been a difficult journey for us but we are so very grateful that this journey has lead us to our new son. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
God Bless,
Donnie and Erin
Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! We are so excited and thankful! I can't even begin to tell you!

Dear HANDinHAND Board,
Thank you so much for approving our family to receive an adoption grant. The grant was truly a blessing! We are so thrilled to have Jaylee become part of our family.
With Much Gratitude,
Tony, Kim, Jonah & Jaylee
Hand in Hand came to the rescue for us. We were able to raise $2,800 and they matched it $ for $!!! They sent a check to our adoption agency in the amount of $5,700. That covered more than half of our expenses that were left. We have been trying to get Isaiah James home since June. He has hydrocephalus and is in dire need of surgery. He is two years old and can't even sit up. The longer it takes, the more neurological damage he will suffer. We give Hand in Hand a big hug and thanks for helping us. The process was easy and worked exactly the way Trudy said it would. Thanks to all the supporters who make this

We want to express our sincere gratitude to Hand In Hand for providing a matching grant to the donations from our family, friends, and church family to assist us with the expense of adoption. We are now the proud parents of beautiful Jaylee Grace. We cannot imagine our lives without her in our family. Hand In Hand helped make our adoption possible. Thank you so much!
Tony, Kim, Jonah and Jaylee
What a great experience! Without Hand-in-Hand we would not have been able to fund our adoption. In looking for adoption funding sources we continually found grants that offered very limited funds and others that were limited to specific countries or medical needs, etc. Hand-in-Hand was an option that offered a large enough grant to really make a difference, did not place too many restrictions as to who would qualify, and at the same time made possible the giving from friends and family.
At first, we were a little nervous about sending out a letter asking for help in the matching grant process. Our anxiety, however, was soon replaced with joy as we received the letters of support from people who, not only shared their resources, but also shared the love of God as they wrote about their excitement about being part of bringing our daughter home. It turned out to be a great experience for all involved.
Thank you so much for your grace and generosity to our family. Without Hand-in-Hand, we would not have been able to bring Graceanah home.
